Kanye West has weighed in on the Chris Brown-Rihanna case, saying he's "devastated" by the situation. He told Ryan Seacrest on KIIS-FM in Los Angeles that he saw the couple at Clive Davis' annual pre-Grammy party on Saturday. He said whether a woman is famous like Rihanna or a McDonald's employee, violence is never the answer. "It should never come to that place."
While Kanye knows both parties, he's closer to the Barbados-born beauty, whom he refers to as his little sister. He said, "I went on tour with her, and we really vibed out on a lot of creative ideas. Rihanna is so important to pop culture and music. She has the potential to be the greatest performer in the world."
Meanwhile, Mario who recently worked with Rihanna on the track Emergency Room, told Extra, "I know Chris...I've never known him as being an abusive guy. It's very unfortunate. Nobody really knows all the details. But it's very unfortunate."
Even though Extra quoted sources as saying the two argued during Grammy weekend, Mario hadn't observed anything crazy between them. He said, "They seem like a really cool couple."
